Add a little bit more flair to the usually pan-charred shishito peppers, and season them with everything bagel spice (garlic, onion, sesame, and poppy seed). Serve as-is or with your favorite creamy dip for a delicious appetizer. Ready in a flash!
Heat a wide skillet (cast iron if you have it). Add just enough olive oil to thinly coat the bottom of the pan; get it nice and hot, but not smoking.
Add the shishito peppers to the pan, making sure not to crowd them. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, rotating the peppers with tongs, or until most sides of the peppers are blistered and some patches are slightly charred.
Remove from the pan. Immediately sprinkle generously with the everything bagel seasoning (the quicker you do this, the better it sticks). Serve with a creamy dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
MEASUREMENTS: Exact quantity is not very important for the shishito peppers here. Just don't crowd the pan and cook in batches if needed, and season to taste!LEFTOVERS: Chop up any leftovers that you're unable to finish and add them to salsa, vegan omelettes, flatbreads, hummus, and beyond!
