If there’s one thing that frustrates me the most when I’m browsing the internet for vegan recipes, it’s when I see a pictureย that looks super delicious, but when I scroll down to the recipe ingredients, they call forย a commercial vegan substitute that I don’t like or that isn’t available in my area. This is doubly true when it comes to baked goods, especially cookies. Veganizing a cookie recipe directly usually requires somehow accounting for both butter andย eggs, so you’ll see a lot of recipes that ask for margarine and commercial egg replacers. If you don’t like the options forย those items in your neck of the woods, then look no further! I’ve compiled a list of 30 delicious vegan cookie recipes *WITHOUT* margarine or name brand egg replacers, so you can find a bunch of approachable, delicious vegan cookiesย in one central location.

I searched through some of my favorite blogs for their cookie recipes too, so below you’ll find a mixture of vegan cookie recipes from my website and others. Many gluten-free options are included. NONE of the cookies are raw, and none require making a frosting or filling. Just good, regular cookies with ingredients from scratch. Enjoy!

Hi,
I came across some really good vegan cookies the other day. They are called montecaos and seem to be of Andalusian origin. They are melt-in-your-mouth and crisp at the same time and incredibly delicious!
Make a dough of 500 g plain wheat flour, 250 ml oil (I used refined canola oil), 200 g powdered sugar, a pinch of salt, and some vanilla sugar. The dough is very crumbly, but thatยดs all right. Roll balls about the size of a small walnut (a little bit of pressing is needed to make them hold together), place on a baking tray (you donยดt need to grease it or anything), and bake for about 20 minutes at 160ยฐC (with convection).
You may also roll the cookies in a cinnamon and sugar mixture before baking.

This is a kind of strange question/request but I am wondering if you know of any vegan recipes to use with an “easy bake oven?” I have fond memories of mine prior to becoming a vegan and would like to pass on those memories with cruelty free ingredients now that I know better.
Thanks for the regular cookie recipes! We may try some of these and just see, but thought I would ask. ๐

Hi Debbie, I wish I could help, but I’ve never used an Easy Bake Oven as either a kid or adult so I really have no idea where to begin with that. But I’d love for you to update us if you have success with any specific recipes! Cheers ๐
