      Thanks! Wish I could still consider myself a “kiddo”, sometimes I do still get my ID checked at bars though…

      I make myself try them every few months! Sometimes I think to myself, “I bet this would be good with mushrooms in it, if I liked them”. You have my blessing 🙂

    I am so happy I stumbled onto this blog! I have been researching and reading about the benefits of plant-based eating, and the evidence is pretty convincing. So I’ve been trying more and more vegan recipes, and there are so many here I can’t wait to try! I think I will have a much harder time convincing my huge carnivore partner to join me, but a girl can try. =)

    I came across this site the other day and found several recipes I want to try. My husband & I have been “whole-food, plant-based” for 5 years now and will never go back to the SAD diet. It would be great if you took your site to the next level and got rid of all the oils…there is no “healthy oil”. Read up on folks like Caldwell Esselstyn, Jeff Novick and John McDougall. Also check out blog.fatfreevegan.com by Susan Voisin, her recipes follow all the rules for healthy eating.

      Hi Denise, thanks for your comment! I’m glad you found some recipes on my site that fit with your diet – you probably noticed that while I don’t exclude oil entirely, I tend to use it in smaller amounts when I do include it. Many of my recipes that do call for oil can be easily adapted to be oil-free as well, especially if you are accustomed to the flavor of fat-free food. I am comfortable with my choice to include oil as a part of my diet, so this is never going to be an oil-free recipe site, but since I will undoubtedly continue to post oil-free recipes some of the time, I hope you’ll visit again!

    My friend just posted about you on her FB page. A puttanesca pasta in one pot. I have been sitting on the fence unable to face the music with meat. I morally can’t stomach it.
    Anyway, now to reach out there and live it…
    Please would anyme give me a suggested first week menu?? We aren’t picky eaters… unless it’s been meat actually… that’s something to think about!

    I cannot tell you how giddy it makes me to find another vegan that doesn’t like mushrooms! I am not creative in the kitchen and rely heavily on recipes – sometimes it feels like E V E R Y vegan recipe utilizes mushrooms.

    Thank you SO MUCH for sharing all of these recipes and how-tos!! I feel like I’ve found my holy food grail. 😉
